STIHL Support for HTA 66/86 and HLA 66/86

If you regularly set your pole pruner or long‑reach hedge trimmer down on rough ground, this support keeps the battery area out of harm’s way. It also gives you an extra handhold for a brief reach boost, so you can finish those last cuts without overreaching.

Designed for select STIHL battery models, it’s a simple add-on that protects your gear and helps you work a little smarter between cuts.

Where it helps most

• Parking the tool on soil, gravel or paving without scuffing the battery housing
• Clipping that final bit of height or distance thanks to the extra temporary grip
• Routine garden maintenance where tools are set down frequently

Why this support stands out

• Protects the battery from ground contact
• Temporary extra reach via the added grip
• Model-specific fit for HTA/HLA 66 & 86
• Black finish to match STIHL tools

In daily use

Once fitted, the support takes the brunt when you place the tool down, reducing knocks to the battery end. The extra grip is handy for quick positioning—use it briefly to extend your reach, then return to your normal hand position for control.

Advice from gardenmachineshop.com

After fitting, practice a few lifts using the auxiliary grip to learn the balance point—use it only briefly so you keep full control and avoid fatigue.
