STIHL Service Kit 25 for HS 45 petrol hedge trimmer

Your HS 45 starts harder, runs rough or seems down on power? A quick service often fixes it. With the STIHL Service Kit 25 you replace the key wear parts yourself, keeping your hedge trimmer reliable and extending engine life without a workshop visit.

This kit bundles the fleece air filter, spark plug and fuel filter for the STIHL HS 45 petrol hedge trimmer. Swapping them prevents abrasive dust and fuel impurities from reaching the engine, so performance stays crisp and fuel use stays low.

Where this kit shines

• Season-start refresh after storage
• Dusty trimming jobs that clog filters
• Quick DIY tune-up before peak hedge growth
• Preventive care to avoid costly repairs

Why it makes a difference

• Clean intake air: Fleece filter traps fine and coarse dirt
• Reliable ignition: New spark plug supports clean combustion
• Protected fuel system: Fuel filter blocks debris
• No extra tools: Cardboard hook helps swap the fuel filter

Hands-on use

Use the combination wrench supplied with your HS 45 to change the air filter and spark plug. The included cardboard hook lets you pull and replace the in-tank fuel filter neatly. It’s a straightforward 15–20 minute job even if you’re not a mechanic.

Advice from gardenmachineshop.com

After fitting the new parts, run the HS 45 for a few minutes and check idle and acceleration—small carb tweaks are rarely needed when filters and plug are fresh.
